Yes but it was very hard during my time up there as a Canes fan. They won the championship in 2013 while I was up there as well as going on that 7 game win streak against Miami. I remember walking out of Doak in 2015 after Miami lost and getting clowned for being a Miami fan. I will never forget that. Which is one of the reasons I hate FSU more than any team.

Im from Miami been here all my life outside of college. Was raised as a Canes fan went to Orange bowl growing up. My Dad took me to my first game in 2002 after Miami won the Natty. They were playing FAMU that day which is funny looking back. But I just remember watching as the stadium was going crazy and I just fell in love with the team after that.

Awesome, thank you for sharing! Love hearing everyone's stories, and what made them fall in love with the team.

One of my favorite parts about this season has been seeing the younger generation experience a great team for the first time.

The excitement from the fans as well as the players being amazing. But also the fact Miami was like a family from the players to the fans everyone seemed to want the best for each other. I sometimes go back and watch that game in 2002.

Was gonna post this elsewhere.

I'm old. I was there for 4 championships. But these youngsters? I'm so happy for them...

Couldn't agree more. I've posted it elsewhere once or twice over the past few weeks, but it's worth repeating.

Seeing them talk about that "feeling" that we've all been dying to get back is just the best thing ever.

And my crazy kid with his Canva presentations is sitting here next to me right now, building out a new one with his predictions for next year's CFP. 🤣

That 1997 season did somewhat feel like the end. In retrospect, we weren't as bad as FSU the last 2 seasons. All of our 6 losses were to teams that had winning records. We did have two blowouts: one to top ranked FSU and the other to Syracuse who finished ranked in the top 20.

Dark days for sure, but we were at the height of our probation, sanctions, scholarship reductions, etc...FSU didn't have to deal with any of that these last 2 seasons.

My biggest hope was being able to see the Canes good again before the Good Lord called me home. In my 67 yrs being a fan I’ve been through the good the great the bad the ugly and the horrible when they thought about disbanding the program.
I thank my Lord and Savior for giving me this chance and only hope these youngsters never again have to go through the really tough times some of us really old fans have gone through.
 
I wonder if we can send FSU some of our money every year to be our feeder school? Kind of like a farm/minor league system?
That way we get to recruit twice as many players and then any kids that want to transfer into the "big leagues" can come to Miami and any kids that need more development can go back to FSU.

We just need to make sure they let us choose some of the staff to develop and coach the kids when they're at FSU.

We can even pay them some $$$ every year to play against us as a cupcake.

As fan that’s only 30 this is the best an happiest season I’ve got to witness as a fan. Was brought up a bama fan but that’s because I’m from Tuscaloosa. ESPN 30 for 30 changed a kids heart at 11 years old haha
