It's so funny how the F$U excuse is "definitely will be too expensive for us to get now", when the kid probably still remembers how F$U stopped recruiting him previously.

I got whiplash trying to follow this story. AMAZING F$U H.S. SCOUTING identified a rare and large DL recruit. Then, BAD F$U H.S. SCOUTING blocked the very same kid from committing. Now, AMAZING F$U PORTAL SCOUTING is back on the case and has figured out that they could really use this kid that BAD F$U H.S. SCOUTING ignored.

What a soap opera, it's no wonder this kid wants nothing to do with F$U in the Portal.

Yeah, the poster kind of half-told that story, but you're correct that he absolutely left out many details. I don't know that he was giving excuses as much as he was crying that they suck though.

BTW, is it still apropos to use the dollar symbol when typing FSU now that they're so broke?

It's still "Free $hoe$ University" to me, though...

I respect the work that you put in on this front (quantifying talent), but in this case it's a dead end. FSU has a bunch of overrated busts and coaches who wouldn't get hired at high schools. It's really irrelevant what a bunch of pencil-****s thought their players could end up becoming.
