Miami definitely needs to avenge the 47-0 loss at FSU in 1997. Coaches and players aren’t going to look so far back but maybe some of the players from that era who turned out to be all-time greats might provide a little motivation. :)

Just went and looked at there roster from last year.

They had 21 seniors.
They have 22 portal exits so far with more expected.
One potential exit to the NFL draft (Duce Robinson)
One kicked off the team right before the season (Hussey)

With the additional roster spots from the house settlement, over 60% of the roster will be new when the HC is entering year 7 and both OC and DC return along with a majority of last years coaching staff.

Funny as it may sound, he has developed his own coaching tree from having worked with Dan Mullen, Lashlee and James Franklin, so now he can sell his ACC Championship plus his connections to soFla to FSU. Plus we know he is very media savvy. I can see him selling his alma-mater on what he can do at the school.

Speaking of his tree, where is Banda now ? He's gotten Brewer and Patke to follow him so them + Banda were essentially his guys. Not too bad if we're being honest.
