The Fiendish Plot of Doctor Fu Norvell

Here's an initial roster comparison, based on current state and without any transfer players having been added to FSU's roster:

Composite Score
2026:
.8909
2025: .8909
2024: .8942
2023: .8807
2022: .8695

2026 Florida State Position Group Advantages:
  • Tight End (2026: .8998, 2025: 8911)
  • Quarterback (2026: 8974, 2025: 8704)
  • Defensive End (2026: 9070, 2025: 9031)
  • Linebacker (2026: 8818, 2025: 8720)
  • Safety (2026: .8723, 2025: 8643)
Florida State will need to bring in a quarterback, if only for depth purposes. They already have twelve wide receivers; they will be challenged to bring in many more.
God. I can’t believe you were willing to do this.

What a load of HORSE****.

The "we" of his coaching staff don't "know what it looks like". Prison Mike has fired nearly everyone involved with his one lucky 2023 season. The rest of the dopey corching staff that he has hired are just random dudes with short and/or inglorious achievement.

Furthermore, the "program" is not built on standards or a culture. For 6 years, Norvell has been a TERRIBLE recruiter and developer of high school talent, racking up subpar talent rankings and sending none of his HS recruits to the first round of the draft. This culture was supplemented by a bunch of mercenaries from the Portal. For one glorious year (when nobody was competing with F$U in the Portal), they were able to find enough talent to offset the lack of high-school-recruit talent. But ever since then, it has been an endless string of deadbeats who were happy to cash the overly-large NIL paychecks that F$U has doled out, while submitting reimbursement receipts for 2 wins in 2024 and 5 wins in 2025.

There IS NO "culture" at F$U any longer. Yes, F$U will manage to hand out scholarships and helmets to 85-95 guys, but they will be nowhere near as talented as what F$U had in 2023. Even worse, they will be less unified and more lackadaisical, since there is no accountability at F$U. The SemenHole fans LOVED to talk about how "The Snub" made their players feel like "winning all the games wasn't enough", and that somehow these soft-batch dip****s lost the will and motivation to play tackle football at a level that would allow them to escape to the NFL. Fine. Let's say, for a moment, that any non-FSU-fan bought that drivel. Wouldn't it also be true that when a university acknowledges that it has a lack of funds to fire a terrible coach who has posted 2-win and 5-win seasons over the past two years, that the PLAYERS would realize there ARE NO STANDARDS, there is no reason that anyone can lose a job at F$U, and they would lose respect for such a coach?

Exactly.

F$U football is dead. But currently, they are in the "chicken-with-its-head-cut-off" phase. They are running around aimlessly, splattering their own blood everywhere, and they don't even realize they've been dead for a minute.
but they can flush the toilet at their stadium now at ELITE levels of flush

what is hilarious is that the Noles will say now "oh the Old Dominion quarterback literally no one has ever heard of will be fantastic!!"

after already failing with DJ U (Clemson and Oregon State) and then Tommy C (Boston College)
Whomever it is will surely be better than our 2026 QB. 😉

God. I can’t believe you were willing to do this.
After seeing all of the transfers, my curiosity got the better of me. I’m actually disappointed; I was hoping that the situation was worse than what I found. Their composite is exactly the same as it was last year. That said they only have two quarterbacks with an average college football experience of 0.5 years between them, and are already fielding 12 wide receivers (6 true freshmen).

They still have issues.

The short QB at UNLV, originally from Florida, looks the type that will end up at Trailerhassee.
