So, as of November 17th, where is Norvell at with the Noles? The buzz was that Franklin was actually interested in taking the FSU gig, but he got sick of waiting. Is the expectation that Norvell is gonna survive this year and come back to coach the Noles next year? Anyone hearing anything?
The fact that Franklin took VT, as quickly as he did, tells me that he never got assurances from FSU that the job would even open. That says a lot.

Franklin was also one of the only coaches that made financial sense for them. All in all id say there’s and 80% chance Norvell is back next year. 7-5 takes is to 100%

It's not that FSU is broke- it's that the spending is unbelievably dumb.

FSU ****ed down its leg and gave Norvell a huge contract with no offsetting language. THEN they spent $300 million renovating Doak (it's a lot nicer now). But the product on the field is still junior varsity, and that's no accident.

If he does at VT what he did at PSU he will be a coaching legend there much like Beamer. At FSU that will not cut it with their fanbase. So may be a smart move on his part regardless of whether the FSU will open up this year or not.

Nole mods aren’t as confident anymore that Norvell is gone, said it’ll depend on the last couple games 👀
They would be fools to move on this year with all these high profile openings (and already missing out on Franklin). That plus do you want to put a new coach with a tough schedule and bad roster? They should let Norvell take the hit then move on. Still a huge buyout regardless.

I call it old age….but I’d never insult a lady by saying that…
I appreciate it, but that stuff never bothered me. I was excited to turn 30, and then 40, and I’ll be excited to turn 50 in a few years. Each decade has been better than the last, and I’ve always been good with the sunblock so I hear I look younger. 😉

Besides, it’s a matter of perspective, right? I’m young according to my doctors, but old according to my kid. 🤷🏼‍♀️
