Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

They got worse every year under Heupel too.
Yes, they did get worse every year under Heupel. From 12-1 his first season in 2018 to 6-4 his final season in the shortened 2020 Covid season. Heupel’s second season in 2019, they finished 10-3. Still had a winning record every season and bowl appearance. Two seasons with 10+ wins.

Malzhan was 9-4 his first season at UCF in 2021 and 4-8 his final season, 2024. His 2nd season was about like his first with an additional loss.
His 3rd season, 2023, UCF went 6-6 in the regular season and lost the bowl game, ending them at 6-7 for the year. Two losing seasons out of 4. Never reached 10 wins.

Not trying to crown Heupel, just don’t think his regression at UCF was as bad as Malzhan’s.

I mean, Heupel inherited an undefeated team that won a “national championship” and left a 6-4 team. Larry Coker’s run at Miami looks incredible in a vacuum with no context to the program he inherited and the one he left.

Gus was able to build the team back a little but couldn’t sustain it. I think it’s unrealistic for UCF to expect double digit wins every year but that program shouldn’t ever go 4-8 with only 2 wins in conference like they did last year. Gus is washed at this point and would have been fired had FSU not saved UCF from having to buyout his contract.

Malscum is a washed up fraud, I hope trailer replaces the little Mike with him, that will be the final straw. Bobby you must be rolling in your grave, everything you built, they have destroyed.

They're on a nice little run in the last couple days, and are now up to #10 overall on 247.

We need them to settle right around #16-18 when the ink dries, not good enough to really flip the program into anything significant but also not enough for the natives to kill Norvell in his sleep.

They are blowing their wad right now, after this it’s all underwhelming recruits.

Them boyz luv to run their mouth, zero self awareness. Quitter on a mediocre team that's now playing on a below average team shouldn't be running his mouth! I hope Bama keeping receipts and we'll see if he makes it out unscathed!
It’s not the only thing he’ll be running…he’ll be running for his life when Bama defensive players read this…lol

They're commit list looks like how ours used to be.
We'd have the Central and Northwestern lids who are high 4 stars but base purely on potential, while everyone else was getting the top recruit from STA, Chaminade, Heritage etc.
Then we'd rely on the development of the OL and DL recruits, then random high star splash recruit that make noise for recruiting but not much on the field.
When you look at their 26 commit list is there anyone you'd take over one of our players? Maybe Hughes but I'm not gonna replace him with who we have. Same with UF

At the end of the day their OL and DL are recruiting is bad bad. As long as we keep hoarding the talent on those spots I cant see them making ay noise.

Their class right now is pretty good for Norvell but nowhere near they need to be competitive again. They have (4) four star guys but three of them are right on the border of three star territory. They also have a lot of guys in the 88/89 range so they’re right in that high 3 star range. When the dust settles they should be in the top 20 maybe top 15. Maybe good enough to keep sorry *** Mike around for another year.
