Does anyone with more time and energy want to pull up Sonnones posts regarding dju during spring practices? I almost feel like you could probably just change the name and they’d look very similar

Was DJU the guy who went out of his way to pull a "Mean Joe Greene" to toss a kid his jersey during an off-season camp? I remember some kinda BULL**** last year about what "character" one of the F$U players had. One of about 85 guys who immediately quit on the 2024 F$U team.

Well, I get their excitement. I mean, how would we feel about it if we had qb whisperer Mike norvell and his *checks notes* 1 quarterback developed into an nfl draft pick. And here we are, stuck with Mario Cristobal, qb killer who has only had *checks notes* 2 top five drafted qbs

I know he's an "analyst" for another fan base, but putting that aside, the guy has zero credibility.

I don't understand how someone could go on their board and consistently write articles predicting a minimum 10-2 season which ends up being 2-10. This guy is at practice and has sources inside that program. No way he didn't hear or see some worrying signs. But because he's a hack he had to sunshine pump.

They are a 4-8/5-7 team this year imo.

It only gets better when you combine him with that clay fink guy. They literally spoke together on a podcast about how they weren’t wrong, the team they saw in spring was definitely a better team than the team that took the field

Of course they looked better in spring. They were competing against themselves. Everyone looks better against Florida State.

You are viewing it wrong. His primary job isn’t as an analyst. It’s to drive engagement on a fan site. Being optimistic is the proven way to best maintain or improve engagement. It keeps the optimistic/casual fans engaged especially in the off season and allows the pessimists to engage to say i told you so when it goes bad.

It is really no different than CiS.

This is a very valid point. But I think we laugh at hit here, because we are so different as fanbases. To drive engagement on these boards you have to go overboard being hypercritical.

Yes, but there are two good reasons...

First, F$U is not doing very well in recruiting right now.

Second, Miami has a TON of good recruiting news right now.

So it's only HALF the fault of F$U...

Norvell is nothing but a smoke and mirrors charlatan. He knows if he lowers the bar of expectations it's his best case scenario. Can't be surprised coming from the coward who made sure his gameplan last year wasn't to try to win but manipulate the game to minimize the optics of the final score. He's a beta in every sense of the word.
