Golden is in an interesting position. I genuinely think he will get a solid P4 job in the next year or two. If Freeman bolts for the NFL, there's a decent change Golden gets the ND job, especially if they win the natty. Either way, it's interesting to see a guy work his way back up. Unfortunately, Golden won't get the PSU job as long as Franklin wants it, which is his ultimate goal.

Also, there is the NFL path. Lots of smoke there too.

Sounds like he can have the Bengals DC job if he wants it. Will be interesting to see what he does.

Have read that Golden is a contender for the PSU DC job that opened up, but that would basically close the door on the HC job unless Franklin leaves on good terms and Golden slides in.
