Because he didn't come in and beat FSU. He came in midway thru the 2nd qtr for an injured Kyle Wright. FSU was leading 17-14. We were already in FG position when Freeman came in. We ended up settling for a FG. Basically, Kirby Freeman came in when the score was tied. Wasn't like we were losing by 40 points and he led some historic comeback.

After coming in, Freeman proceeded to go 4-11 for 59 yards, 2 INTS, and 1 TD. We were down 29-24 until that final drive where Kirby did throw the TD to put us up 30-29. I do give him credit for that, but he was the reason we almost lost the game. Thank God FSU turned it over 6 times, including that last fumble recovery returned for a TD by McCarthy to seal the game.
Best pass of his life. Against FSU. Give him his props

The rest of the team runs like the prize is a shoulder rub.
@JG14 when he heard this...

Tried and true measure of a coach's longevity is recruiting rankings. Those are the canary in the coal mine. No one in their right mind thought FSU being down 13+ draftable players were going to beat a UGA team at 90% strength, but if they had been stacking recruiting classes in the top 15 as FSU should be doing, they would have been something other than a lifeless body. That point is well made. As of now, their current rankings are in the toilet, they are unacceptably low and unrecoverable. If they're smart, they fire him and bite the bullet because it only gets more expensive from here. Ask us how we know.

Does that plan come with getting a talent like Hunter and a top NFL draft QB as part of the 50-60 because without them year 1 at CO is likely worse than what it was.
I was going to ask if the plan including stepping down in conference competition like Colorado did. Maybe if FSU joined the big 12 they could win two or three conference games instead just one in the ACC.

When he loses his son and Travis they will be awful. It will be fun to watch the demise. LOL
they were awful before he got there and arent awful now.

They have 2 str8 top 25 recruiting classes.

I dont think their fall will be as severe as folks believe especially with how they play the portal.

Us and them are gonna be the big guys in the portal targeting a qb.

They have a very tough sell given how bad the entire program is right now.

I think he is talking about Colorado.

And I still think he's wrong.

The "Top 25 recruiting classes" are almost entirely Portal guys for Colorado. Not sustainable, particularly with constant rumors of Neon leaving.

Agree. People will always expect sanders to leave that job and that will make it hard to get kids who want to spend 4 years at a school. He’s going to have to rebuild the team every year. I’d be surprised if he stayed any longer than his kids do.

There's going to be more big name programs looking for qbs than people give credit for. OU, USC, Michigan/LSU ( whoever loses on Underwood), Louisville, ND, I think UGA should definitely, Auburn, Indiana is #8 they'll be hot too, Ole Miss if Dart leaves and Missouri. I'll keep saying it I don't trust the portal market coming up for QBs

your right but when the sons leave i wanna see how it goes. I still think he will be able to pull guys in the portal. Its basically THE SAME as us...i bet a bunch of you are optomistic that we will pull a top qb in the portal because of what Cam Ward did...why would it be any different with Deion?.

**** he may pick off the Pancake dude off of our team that everyone is so worried about on the OL.
They probably need to portal 2 wrs in but they have actually recruited solidly there.

They have some talent returning, i dont think they bottom out like fsu. lol

He has sort of created a thing that for whatever reason folks are still interested in.

I have had in the last month or so...had 3 different either family or friends with no allegiance or fan dom to colorado ( one played cb at kansas state, the others are my cousins that are canes fans) that want to fly to ****** colorado to catch a game. lol Id imagine with recruits its even higher as these are folks in late 30s -40s.
