I don't know what numbers TrumpyCane is citing (total stats or per-game-stats), but they played 14 games. Jordan Travis was in 10+ games. They still had good offensive production vs. North Alabama. That only leaves Florida, Louisville (ACC-CG) and Georgia (worst bowl loss of all time) to "excuse" the numbers.
While the passing game was not as prolific against Florida/Louisville, they had good running stats. We all know what happened against UGa.
Bottom line, they had two so-so passing days (before Ga) and two good running days (before UGa). For an "undefeated/unconquered" season, you would have expected them to pile up the stats when Travis was playing, enough to offset a couple of Rodemaker days against Florida/Louisville.
