Also recall that hykeem has been getting outside receiver coach because…….
1) he’s not good
2) dugans is not good

Oh yea our WR room was very good last year…they just didn’t get nearly the hype or love from the National media that they deserved. The exciting part is that they should be even better this season. The crazy thing about the numbers they put up in 23’ is that it was done with poor play and tremendous instability at the QB position. I’m sitting here pondering the numbers they can put up in 24’ with an elite QB to go along with Martinez and that O-Line and I’m pumped. No reason to think we shouldn’t have two 1,000 yard receivers.Compare their stats from last year to our room room from last year. It will surprise you.
Yeah, that guy saying FSU had one of the best WR rooms in the country last year, failed to realize that our TWO top WR's totally blew away FSU's top two WR's in yardage. They had EXPECTATIONS of great WR production, but Miami dominated them in that category ... and Miami's WR room this year is better than last.Compare their stats from last year to our room room from last year. Theirs was smoke and mirrors. More names than anything else.Compare their stats from last year to our room room from last year. It will surprise you.
every thing they did successfully on offense for me all goes back to Travis. His scrambling and ability to keep things alive kept all defenses on their toes.
DJ isnt him. There offense will be just OK. DJ will occasionally show flashes of what everyone hoped followed by death and despair.
Their offense wont be on the field all the time or winning by 21+ either so their defense wont be able to pin its ears back and just attack. Maybe I'm putting to much on Travis but I just think thats how valuable he was...it trickled down to everything on their team.
They are in for a huge reality check once they realize that DJ can’t carry them like Travis did. They were not a very good rushing team last year and that was with teams respecting the passing game. Much of DJ Uklele’s success at Oregon State was predicated by the running game. They would pound Damien Martinez and their monster offensive line until defenses would commit more guys to the box and then hit them with deep play action shots. They don’t have Martinez or OSU’s line at FSU. Nobody has to commit 8 guys to stop their running game. They’re essentially going to have to rely on a sub 60% passer and a bunch of wide receivers who have never done anything to open up the offense for the running game. They’re screwed.every thing they did successfully on offense for me all goes back to Travis. His scrambling and ability to keep things alive kept all defenses on their toes.

Yea I could definitely see them being forced into becoming a more conservative, ball-control style of offense this year. Even with the loss of Benson, RB is going to be the strength of their offense. Plus, with all the dudes they lost on the defense and the type of QB DJ is I think they’re going to try to slow the game down. I really like our matchup against them this year because I don’t think their offense will able to keep up with ours.I think they are thinking DJ and Travis are the same player. Because the numbers are similar. But the problem is that FSPoo's receivers are not very good. Also you'd think DJ would be a more accurate qb...and you'd be wrong.

thats the only offense a qb like DJ can survive in. dink and dunk and take a play action shot.Yea I could definitely see them being forced into becoming a more conservative, ball-control style of offense this year. that **** makes me laugh every **** time especially the first time I was not expecting it at all, **** thing caught me off guard pauseCan someone make this into a GIF? I need it to continue my ****posting on the rivals main board. Thanks in advance
Trey benson was also much better than anything they have this year. The guy they got from Bama is solid but doesn’t have bamas line anymore
I agree. But I still think roydell is average. If he was that good he’d have stayed. He got passed up by younger dudesToafili is a good receiving back. I think they'll complement each other well. I expect FSU to be one of the better rushing offenses in the country because Norvell is a competent coach and he'll use DJ's legs a lot more than he had Travis run last year. Where they're going to be in some **** is on obvious passing downs when the whole stadium knows DJ has to throw the ball and his legs aren't much of a threat. Keep FSU in 3rd and long this year and they're going to struggle.
Alabama also had a poor offensive line last year. Their running game was worse than FSU's, albeit against different and likely better competition.
But I remember in the A&M game they had something like 20 carries for 50 yards with their backs. They couldn't run for **** against UGA. They couldn't run for **** against Texas. They couldn't run for **** against Michigan, really. McClellan had that big run early in the game and they didn't do anything after that.
