That’s where old clothes go when you donate them but Goodwill can’t sell or give them away.

It’s sad that Fsu and UNc are basically the 2 best teams not named Clemson.

But Fsu is really going to have to absolutely strike gold in the portal because they are losing a lot of really key pieces.

That’s the model. Bring in 20 one year players a year. Does wonders for continuity. Should be interesting to see the one year that their portal finds Dont work

This Fsu team feels very similar to Msu last year. Lsu and Louisville breaks all went their way then they started gaining confidence.

Travis will be back. The offense will be solid again but they lose everything on defense.

Yep. They lose a lot on defense & aren't recruiting at a very high level to absorb talent lost without hitting big in the portal. But they've used the portal well and can specifically sell that. The worst thing that could happen for them is losing Atkins at OC/O line coach.

They're doing far better than most people thought they'd do this year. They also beat us badly, 2020 style, in our own house.

What's most surprising to me, in the aftermath of that beatdown, is how little recruiting momentum they got from it. They're not even a Top 15 Class. It seems to me that Norvell's model to succeed there is going to be based on raiding the portal every year. As someone already noted, this leaves you with the MSU dilemma. Last year, that was a double-digit win team because of how effectively they worked the portal. However, they've been a disaster this year and their recruiting hasn't helped.

The portal's a great backstop, but it isn't a permanent solution. If Norvell can't figure out recruiting there, especially coming off his best year, they'll be a perennial 8-win team with the potential for 9-10 wins whenever their portal additions really work out. And whenever the portal additions don't work out, get ready for pain.
