No family connection. He is originally a Florida kid, West Palm Beach I believe, and just grew up an avid FSU fan. He had a great relationship w their DB coach when he was at Auburn and then when Norvell hired him, it was a match made in heaven. Kid is their Duke Johnson.

There were some UF rumblings but they just did away w their whole defensive staff so the relationship he had with UF is no longer there. I think he sticks too.
