Neon Deion had unusual height and speed for his position. These physical attributes MAY have helped him to become one of the all-time greats at his particular position, but it doesn't make him courageous or tough or a great tackler.

Some people prefer to think of the greatest at a particular position to be an athlete who can do everything very well. Perhaps Neon Deion may have been the best at covering a WR (again, due in part or large part to his height and speed), but he was SOOOOO bad at tackling that, for many people, it detracts from his greatness in another trait.

Neon Deion was scared of contact, he was not brave enough to make tough tackles. That's just being real, it's not slander.
