The OL coach is the only guy that FSU fans want to keep. They always have at least one assistant who they are obsessed with.

It’d be hilarious if they went like 7-5 in the regular season and they look thoroughly mediocre the entire way and win a rinky dink bowl game to go 8-5 and it keeps their program further in limbo. It’d be nice to see them have a little experience of what we went through for 20 years.

They are getting that experience two-fold right now.

My take on it is that I want to see another year or two of sub-.500 results, so that when Prison Mike is fired, nobody on that team knows what it is like to play for a winning F$U team.

As much as it sucks to root for FSU wins, it would be way worse for them if they go something like 7-5 than going 3-9 or worse, because the fan vitriol won't be high enough to fire Norvell. Like if Norvell goes 3-9 or worse it will be way too toxic for them not to fire him, buyout be damned.

Because any coach would be way better than Norvell there, and we don't want someone better.

Playing the long con, I can dig it. As much as I'd love them to go 0-12 it's better that Mikey wins just enough to keep this ship headed right toward the iceberg

A 3-9 season could be better if they remove him this year. They’d end up having most if not all Tier 1 HC targets aay thanks but no thanks and they’d still be saddled with all that buyout money.
