Facts.

It's no accident that UTx, TAMU and TxTech are all in the top 10 of NIL spending. And when we talk oil and gas money, there's a whole financial side to that industry, too. I think that's where SMU's alumni wealth comes from. Plus they're in Dallas which 3x the population of downtown Miami and 7x the population of the metro area. It is a BIG city. Lots of legit marketing budgets to spread the NIL wealth.

They have 6 more years of no revenue share. I don't know if they're forgoing all the $45-50 Million a team a year, and I know their alumni are offsetting it. But that's the main thing holding them back.

They both did it. The only difference is that the Tallahassee Police Department wasted a year of investigation time by doing nothing, the F$U administration ignored MULTIPLE Title IX cases, and Winston's wingman smashed his cell phone with the video on it.

See, this has to be true. We were poor as **** and hald mediocre coaching and we still never sucked this bad. This can't just be about money or it wouldn't be so very, very bad. Even out of money, they still have talent. Not winning is about a sickness inside the program.

Personally, I think that's great news...even if they find some money, they'll still have a bunch of **** to fix.

Yeah, potential for the top 4 ACC teams to jump ship to the BiG and SEC could really hurt SMU. On the other hand, they would never have been in the conversation and position they're in now if they hadn't joined the ACC.

If the conference does break up, they're sure to be in a new ACC that will emerge from the shakeup, or possibly an ACC/Big 12 merger. That is far superior than being in the WAC, C-USA and American leagues they were in prior to joining the ACC. Heck, they might even get some buyout money from Miami and the others that leave to help fund their dominance.

**** they in those stages already? We were there man, I remember people wanting to hire Scott (think that’s his name) because of a miracle kickoff TD game ended vs Duke. Fans get more cooked the longer time goes by since the last time you were elite and had real coaching/culture.
 
FSU podcast just ranked their players 1-40 on the roster breaking down who they are and why they are ranked where they are. Oh my god does that team suck. It’s worth a listen because there are guys in their top 5-10 you have never heard of. Transfers from places that I literally did not know had football programs. They are really really bad. And their podcasters know it. They are laughing at how pathetic this squad is throughout. We were way better off under Golden and Diaz.

Their president has basically held up the white flag ... given up ... until (as they believe) the next phase of realignment takes place and 'confirms' that they have a place in the P2. THEN there are several boosters who are ready to loosen the purse strings and support the key actions that need to take place to BEGIN to 'right the ship'. Fire Norvell and hire a new HC, provide NIL to build a roster. Until then ... status quo (which is getting uglier every season).
