People say being a fired college head coach is the best job in the world. I disagree - being an active college Athletic Director is clearly the winner.

Imagine running an organization so poorly that you don’t even have the reserves to fire your own employees. Instead, you have to go cap in hand to wealthy boosters - essentially rich fans - begging for buyout money. And once they cough it up, they expect a front-row seat in the hiring process.

It’s madness.

This is what I've been harping on. Not only have their recruiting classes very mid (average of #15-20 over the last several years), but those classes were bouyed by top kids that were busts.
