“Miami blew me out the water,” King told CaneSport. “Coral Gables is a beautiful place. The coaching staff is great. It definitely felt like a family.”

King has also received interest from Illinois, Maryland, Houston Colorado and Miami (Ohio), although a source told CaneSport late last week Miami was a top contender. King echoed that sentiment after his visit.

“They like my film, they like what I put out, they like the type of person I am and they see me coming in and playing the safety position,” King said. “…I definitely could see myself playing in Miami. There’s definitely some real interest here.”

“They straight up told me the best people here play no matter how young they are,” King said. “They’ve played young guys. Coach Hetherman, at his other school he played young guys. He had a Freshman All-American (Koi Perich) and all that stuff.”
