True, but common sense would argue that with 5-6 years left on his contract, and any basically structured coaching contract, short of a total implosion where we dont qualify for a bowl which could trigger an escape clause for the University, buying him out at this point, for simply mediocre performance is probably highly unlikely. Maybe next year, if he fails to make it to the ACCCG there could be some clause in there which would allow a cheaper buyout, but he makes 2.1 a year, Miami is not going to pay this ******* guy all those millions just to hire who? Another "up and coming" mid major coach? I mean if you told me some unique opportunity came up, some big time HC decided he wanted to settle in So Fla and coach here, I would say f8ck it, lets do it. **** I will pony up into the fund to buy the ****** out.

Nevin Shapiro is the best thing that ever happened to AG. He basically got a long term extension based solely on the fact he did not bolt when it went down. Ironically, we know he went awol and flirted with PSU while publically lying about Miami being a destination job and he wants to be here a loong time.

His results have been mediocre overall and absolutely putrid against quality opponents.

He should visit lil Nevin in prison and personally thank him for giving his family millions of dollars.
