No to Applewhite

Major was at UT when Manny was there. OC for Saban his first year at Bama, and was Tom Herman's first call when he took the UH gig after leaving OSU. He called plays for UH under Herman.

Yes, I am aware of that. I saw water in the background and looks like they may be on a boat so....

My concern with Applewhite would be Diaz's friendship with him. Perhaps I'm just overly concerned about D'No 2.0, but rule one of being the boss is don't hire someone you can't fire. I'd rather just avoid any potential nepotism, especially for the OC.

Would much rather have Fedora but Applewhite is no slouch. He’s coached under some good minds and was OC under Herman at Houston in ‘15 and ‘16. Not my first choice personally but I could live with it.

He has never successfully ran an offense on his own. The only good offenses he was part of were at Houston and he wasn’t calling plays either time.

LOL @ the Fedora slurpers.

The ***** hasn't called plays in over a decade...y'all sound like the same b!tches that said Richt's circa 1990's Fast Break Offense was gonna "kill it here!"

Think he's talkin about the time Applewhite told Oliver (a projected top 3 pick in the 19 draft) to remove his jacket on the sidelines. Oliver was out with an injury, freezin his gazaba's off no doubt.
