No point in reading Eye in the sky.

It’s totally broken, obviously. The only way to change it, and hopefully that brings fixing it, is getting different players and coaches.

The first part will be easy. It’s college football, roster turnover is almost instantaneous, and we have an elite of the elite recruiter as the head man. So that will happen.

The 2nd part MUST happen as well, starting with the OC, obviously.

This season is a cluster**** of almost incomprehensible proportions, but we can’t go back and score TDs against MTSU or beat Duke. They’re over and done with. So how do we prevent it from ever happening again? Better players and better coaches, as mentioned above. Sign a top 5 class and shake up the staff. Hit the portal HARD. There are maybe 20 kids on this roster who will be on the 2024 team. That’s a good thing. Croot and hire a coach who aligns with your talent. You were on the right track with Briles, Candle, etc. Keep going.

5th and 6th string wr playing. ? 4th and 5th string o-line man ? Beat up qbs ? Players that are not as talented as we want to believe. ****** OC ? Maybe its a mix of all that.

IDK . But I know they are going to recruit like mad men and get this corrected.
Just like Ron Zook did? Marios a **** of a salesman. Hel be selling playing time every year. Thats going to be because his guys wont be put in position to succeed and look like **** every saturday.

His success at oregon was noteworthy

nobody disagreeing that the product on the field is unacceptable but it's not like he hasn't shown success at a major program before.

Mario is the best used car salesman in the nation. Great at selling 17 and 18 year olds on crappy mid 2000s sports cars. Then when it’s too late they realize the car is half the speed of current sedans and they just signed on at 30% APR.

Lol I feel like you just brought the Eye in the Sky arguments over to the recruiting side though?
This is going to Eye in the Sky. It doesn’t belong on the recruiting forum. And let’s call this what it is… it’s a Mario needs time thread. That’s fine but as has been mentioned, MTSU can’t be rationalized away. I hope he turns it around as he’s a monster recruiter.

The roster next year will be so dramatically different, its very hard - as a fan - to really watch the rest of this year play out. These games are going to be terrible experiences and are rather worthless unless you're a true sicko.

Enjoy Early Signing Day, Thanksgiving, and the off-season. Hopefully a new vibe next year and some renewed energy with a lot of new names and faces.
I love the off-season… I can’t wait for it I’m so excited. We win the off-season every year and this off-season will surely be the most epic all-time greatest we’ve ever seen.

To victory! It’s almost the off-season and we own it.

Our "best players".... Yeah let's ignore the culture

I just read this in the Lyons thread .
“For me, the main thing is if you come here you’re going to get playing time. Coach Cristobal just told me, I want to say 45 minutes ago, he was just like, ‘If you come here, you got to know that you got to be ready to play your freshman year.’ You see the results and you see that as an opportunity to step on the field your first year and come in here and get true playing time and have a true impact on the team,”

“Yeah, I want to play early. I don’t want to necessarily sit a year and a half, two years before I get a chance to play. I want to play early, I feel like I can play early. My skillset is I feel like I can play anywhere on the field. I should be able to play early wherever they need me and put an impact on this team wherever they need me at.”

Told you the coaches are selling the playing time angel.
U think there was a question of what Mario and Co. is selling? 😆😆😆. Other than NIL, that’s pretty much all we got to offer top recruits right now. Other than that, A kid has to have vision or an unwavering belief in what Mario is selling, to come here.

Yall just pile humping on the coaches and blaming them for all of this. Theres a reason why the coaches were searching high and low for players in the portal. Manny left this program gutted and it shows. It also dont help that were missing a **** ton of players due to injury.

We need every last dam recruit we can land and ive posted it before and im posting it again these recruits need to get here early for spring and be ready to play. There is crazy playing time to be had.

This is 2 years away at min. We wont be very good next year either so recruit recruit recruit like **** and year 3 we will be ready for the run.

Pipe down. We have the worst offensive coordinator in all of sport. The fans have every right to be ****ed off at the coaching staff. If your team lost to James Madison, UT San Antonio, UAB, Western Kentucky and Louisiana Tech, you'd be ****ed off too.

Oh wait, that wasnt the Canes who lost those games, that was Middle Tennessee State. The same team that came into Hard Rock stadium as a 27 point underdog and walked through the Canes 45-31. Never mind, you're right. The fans shouldnt be mad at the coaches. I stand corrected.

There better be a whole mountain of cash and some coaching turnover soon or we won't be landing anywhere what people think we want or need. Kids are smart, they won't come play for the current group of dingbats getting paid millions and serving up **** sandwiches on Saturdays.

Oregon has not lost a step. They have a well oiled machine going.
