Neither Tiki nor Ronde Barber ain't walking through that door. Heath Miller ain't walking through that door. Chris Long ain't walking through that door. ****, even Matt Schaub isn't even walking through that door. So, who the **** is walking through that door. Someone tell me something about this Virginia team. Does London Perrantes play for the football team too? With his Kid and Play haircut? Give me something. About the actual football game on Saturday that we have to win or else all this other playoff stuff is irrelevant.

Tough team. They are healthy. Beat Boise State. Very physical. Should not be taken lightly. They will be ready.

One of the best safeties in the nation in blanding. At least talent wise

Rosier needs to be smart

I'm legitimately concerned about UVA and Pitt. Trap games and these are the exact kind of games we've lost the past decade+.

On that note, I'm hoping The Pastor has them boys ready to play and we can breathe easily Saturday. These Coker, Shannon, and Golden temporary tattoos don't wash off so easy.

If the Canes come out swinging with absolute barbaric intensity like the last two weeks, then the game will be over in the 2nd quarter.

But...it will be interesting to see if the same level of energy shows up for a noon game vs a mediocre ACC opponent like it did in prime time vs 2 ranked opponents.

That's what this game is all about. I can't name a single player on UVA's offense outside of their middling QB.

My concern is minimal. These players know what is at stake and they are well aware a loss would cost dearly. I think these last 2 games with as much effort and passion as the last 2 knowing the NC is in striking distance

The players may know what's at stake, but this is new territory to them. these things almost always end badly for a 'first-time' team.

I'd expect a UVA game loss

but next year, with Rosier back at the helm -- we take off for real!

The thing that keeps coming to mind with Virginia is the fact they were the last team eliminated from the Coastal race. That tells me they aren't trash. They play tough and won't roll over. We need to play well and stay focused. If any aspect of our play isn't up to par this Saturday, we will struggle. If we play to our potential, we put them away and our backups get needed reps. I'm still waiting to see a backup QB get meaningful reps, because we've got the game easily in hand. This is a perfect time to get Shirreffs in, if we can just get the game in hand early. A) we don't want to risk Rosier getting hurt late in a game we should have in hand, and B) Shirreffs needs some time on the field in case he's needed down the stretch.

Here's hoping we play to our potential and our backups get the reps they need, and starters get the rest they can use going forward.

Micah Kiser is one of the best LB's in the country, Quin Blanding, Also have a big receiver Levrone who is a good player. Canes have way too much talent for them across the board though.

They have a good defense from the very little I have watched of them (watched a bit of the Duke game because I had money on it). Also, saw highlights of the BC game where they got absolutely drilled. They seem to be inconsistent. Will they be pumped playing the #3 team? Sure they will. That will go away after about 5 mins of game time and the first time some1 gets punched in the mouth.

I honestly don't think it's about UVA and what players they have and bring to the table, it will be about us. This UM team is a different animal and mentally does not let little things like media or bad plays get to them. They r very focused. I don't know if they cover the spread nor do I care. I think they will win and the defense will get a few turnovers. Just win.

Blanding is overrated trash. He's the best of the trash, but he's still trash. he's like a gold-plated trash can. looks nice, but it's still a trash can

if he was so good, he would have left last year

he'll be an OLB in the League

If the staff and the senior leaders on this team can't keep our team focused over the next two weeks with the opportunity that is laid out in front of us then we aren't ready for the big time anyway. We have so much to play for and we have two average to below average teams standing in our way...one of which we get at home. If we can't pull this off then we shouldn't be in the conversation.

Trap games and these are the exact kind of games we've lost the past decade+.

agreed. But, IIRC was it Joe that, when asked what UM has accomplished yet, answered without a smile and said 'Nothing.'

I like to hear that kinda talk. It appears this team is focused.
