No more defending this staff

Undiscipline and poorly coach. Also, this is a niche complaint, but wats going on in that rb room? They have no vision, and then when we look at recruiting they r recruiting some mid.

Who evaluates Mario and when is he forced to hire a proven OC and told to leave him the **** alone. We play in the ACC and can’t win the championship in 20 + years? That as impossible as the Dolphins not winning a SB by mistake for the last 53 years.

There are no excuses for what we seen from the team this season. The disappointment falls on the shoulders of Mario Cristobal and his staff. Every season, the team starts strong and fails to finish. Every season includes losses as double digit favorites. Even Mario’s year one team at 5–7 was blown off the field as double digit favorite by Middle Tennessee State.

I have friends from Oregon who witnessed the same from Mario.

Nothing will change, unless Mario has an epiphany and realizes he needs to adapt rather than grind and work harder at what is proven not to work consistently.
 
The only staff worth its weight is the defensive staff and if Mario had any sense he would pull them into a room and apologize to them for allowing us incompetence to grow.

They shouldn’t be asked to play Superman every game.
 
I knew the season was over when I seen Mario doing all of those interviews and podcast radio shows. It was a Friday night game and we came out flat to Louisville.. Same thing with SMU, and Nick Saban said it before the game that we better careful

Louisville
Bonehead illegal motion penalty takes a Toney TD off the board. Should never happen -WR has to know not to turn upfield early. Dumb penalty. Yet somehow we had the ball last against Louisville despite 4 quarters of ineptitude. Beck throws a pick.

SMU
Bonehead roughing pass penalty gives SMU a new set of downs. It was game over. Undisciplined players are a hallmark of Cristobal teams.

A couple min earlier, also had 4th and 1, a score likely wins the game. Predictable play call gets stuffed and they get the ball back.

then in OT Beck throws another pick to end the game.

We would win a lot more games
1) if the team was smarter
2) different qb

Last year was our best chance in two decades... but then we had a clown running our D.. now its the O.

Eh, feels like you are trying to shift blame here. The team isn’t smarter because they take after their HC and they are allowed to be dumb & undisciplined.

“A different QB”, lol. Even if we had the best QB in the country in here, you all would just find another excuse.

It’s Cristobal. All him. His program. His fingerprints. His DNA. His everything. Nothing more. Nothing less.

*The illegal motion penalty that took a TD off the board - that happened against Louisville? I recall it happening vs FSU, but not Louisville.

Agreed. Its on Mario. The OL is his unit and they are the most undisciplined part of the team. How many back breaking penalties did they commit yesterday? One that really stood out was the illegal man down field. Your QB is running for his life trying to buy time. Probably the best play Beck has made in a Cane uni. Pretty sure that would have iced the game but we got a lineman 10 yards down field trying to block. The lack of awareness and discipline from his unit is killing this offense more than any bad running game or the QB play.

I wonder how many of those penalties come from the OL? Mirabal probably needs to go along with Dawson.
