No media at Greentree right now?

They were also supposed to release the first 4 episodes of the 'Canes Camp' series on YouTube on August 14. We've only seen 2.

I don't care for the media and they have their own agendas but total closure and secrecy for a mediocre operation is laughable.
It’s really dumb imo. It drives fan interest away from the team in the short term. You don’t have to leak anything important, but you cultivate interest and excitement by letting media and the fanbase be slightly involved. You don’t generate hateful enemies in the media if they feel welcome. I didn’t say you had to leak anything important, and you can bar anyone who doesn’t follow your guidelines…but at least throw the dogs a bone.

Instead we have to rely on reports that only a select few people have seen, it’s obviously going to be all sunshine pumping and no negativity whatsoever. Of course 90% of the board will fall for it (doesn’t mean it’s not true, but it’s just basically one lens and controlled by Mario). No offense to D$ or anyone else, but so far every position is thriving, depth is no concern, everyone is doing amazing. Is that really what’s going on? Maybe, but probability says no.

Someone pointed it out above, but it doesn’t matter as long as we win. If we don’t, it’s embarrassing for Mario to operate this way. No college team does this, no NFL team does this. He’s not exempt from it. We didn’t even get stats from the first scrimmage.

Now there’s been some posts nuked for injury concerns (not a big deal imo, but the nuking of injury posts makes it seems like a gigantically important player got hurt, when it wasn’t really that important). Also, this at least makes some sense since you don’t want UF to know who’s hurt…except they’re going to find out anyways.

Plus injury reports are on the horizon, everyone will have to comply soon.

Can’t wait for 8/31.

Mario doesn’t want to give away that he’s practicing his kneeling so his opponents can’t rely on that for a win anymore…

There’s no question a newsworthy injury took place during the scrimmage and for whatever reason Mario is treating it as if it’s Jesus Christ.

For a program that averages 20k asses in seats over the last 20 years it really is funny shutting out all media access. Seems very counterintuitive but winning cures all
It’s really not that bad. Not sure why it’s being treated like the sky would be falling. It’s not a starter (to my knowledge, unless someone additionally got hurt).

I’m also not mad at D$ or anyone else for nuking those posts because he was obviously told to do so by a higher up.

What’s even more ridiculous to me is the fact we can’t even know who started at LG for the first scrimmage. It doesn’t give ANYTHING away…and yet it’s like if UF finds out, that’s the secret to beating us. That’s how it’s being treated, that’s how it’s all being treated.

Releasing all 4 episodes by 8/14 is a dumb idea to begin with.

Space them out.

1 episode a week.

This ain't Netflix.

Those videos were awesome, had tons of people texting me excited about the new drop. Similar to Hard Knocks, where I have some Bears fans close to my circle…those installments continued to rejuvenate the fanbase. They went out similarly to us and grabbed a new QB, new toys on offense…there’s palpable excitement and hope amongst the fans.

No one is going to like this next part, but Mario has a reputation as a micromanager on gameday and with other things…well this applies imo. Wholeheartedly, undoubtedly applies to what information is allowed out. And it’s not much, at all.

For the most hyped season in 20+ years, this is the least unfiltered info we’ve ever gotten.

I thought that as well. Pretty sure episode 1 and 2 were a week part. Haven't seen 3 and 4 and it's been close to or at a week since the 2nd one.

You would think if they announce a release date they could at least stick to it. Not a huge deal but they make it so hard to stay interactive and excited as a fan when you never know what you're going to get from media perspective. Hype you up and build excitement and then just not deliver.

Not when they are game planning during the season. Essentially, that's what the Canes are doing for FLA right now.
They're in camp. They won't start game week for UF until 8/25.

Sure, they're doing something for that game but Mario would tell you its not game prep right now and we're focused only on Miami until the 25th.
