Don't care. The access media had was essentially worthless anyway. I don't care how a kid looks in his shells or what order they do their drills in.
This is a more concise way of saying what I said.He knows how huge this game is for the program. I'm sure trying to prevent any news regarding injuries or players limited getting to the gators. We win it's not that big of deal. However, we fall short he deserves whatever criticism that's thrown his way.
I am pretty sure the media would rip him to shreds after a losing season regardless of how permissive he was to them.I heard on a podcast this am that the media is essentially off limits at Greentree for the foreseeable future. Even player interviews are only being permitted via Zoom. I don't know if this is for all outlets or not, but the folks on the pod made it seem as though no media is permitted. Generally speaking I am not a fan of the media and I also understand the disdain that Mario (and all coaches to a point) has for the media. However if Mario comes up short again, these tactics of treating the media like horse puckey is going to really work against him with the fan base. I hope for his sake and our's, we win. Winning will make this a moot point. Not winning will make Mario out to be a control freak dikwad, which admittedly he probably is but it's just tolerated (and oftentimes applauded) when the team is winning.
Can anyone confirm if these media restrictions are in place for all?
Sure and deservedly so. But I'm thinking more like the team goes 8-4/9-3. If the media was in his pocket, you think the stories being written might be a little more on the forgiving side?I am pretty sure the media would rip him to shreds after a losing season regardless of how permissive he was to them.
Mario doesn’t have to do anything except win. People getting bent out of shape because of the lack of information provided during fall camp need to find something else to worry about in life.Never understand shutting down all access to the team.
Fans have right to enjoy practices and scrimmages, its part of what we like to do.
There is very little to gain( if anything) from keeping all under wraps.
Its not like we are coming out with the wishbone for UF game.
Whatever offense and defense we will be running is well known to our opponents ,,we are not going to have an advantage of any kind.
When we were winning 5 championships, practices were open to the public.
It’s only after we hired multiple incompetent coaches ( Shannon,Golden,Manny etc)that secrecy has prevailed.
Yes. The media is allowed almost every day at the Dolphins' practice unless specified otherwise, once or twice this offseason. I was just reading live reports from their joint practice with the Commanders today. Ironically enough, this is the last practice open to fans lol.Does the NFL let anyone into their practices?
Not sure. They may take a cue from the fandom, which is dominated by people who DGAF about progress and more double digit wins.Sure and deservedly so. But I'm thinking more like the team goes 8-4/9-3. If the media was in his pocket, you think the stories being written might be a little more on the forgiving side?
Why get bent out of shape over it?They were also supposed to release the first 4 episodes of the 'Canes Camp' series on YouTube on August 14. We've only seen 2.
I don't care for the media and they have their own agendas but total closure and secrecy for a mediocre operation is laughable.
Geo was told something after the scrimmage and repeated it, and got a call from one of the coaches reminding him to keep his mouth shut, or sleep w da fishes.I heard on a podcast this am that the media is essentially off limits at Greentree for the foreseeable future.
