Mario’s whole MO has been complementary football where you have a Steele type defense with a ball control offense. He’s always wanted to protect the defense. The fact that he went with an incredibly aggressive defense makes me think he wants a similar offense. It sounds like the Guidry defense focuses on turnovers, stealing possessions and forcing opponents out of their comfort zone.

The other factor is he cares so much about recruiting and knows he needs an exciting offense to attract the top local wide receivers. We have no idea who he’s looking at but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a wide open attack.

You need a good QB,Good RB’s and good WR’s to run a wide open attack.Which one of those three is not like the other two when it comes to our roster.

Top local WRs? Haven't we learned the Schnelenberger / Johnson model worked a quarter century ago, but the very few Dade athletes these days who had that toughness and drive leave for competive programs who get the pick of the litter.

Canes recruiting needs to be way better and not so lazy relying on stars and the locals.

Like I've said before Charlotte in SW FL had two kids who were 2-3 stars. Both went to FIU (One had the INT that started the Canes upset in 19) - both are in the League.

Its a lot easier to depend on the Stars, recruit across town and go home at night than maybe drive across the Alley and see some of the talent where you can actually pull out a diamond in the rust.

He realzing sfla athletes want a spread out attack style offense. I'm willing to bet you are right.

I just hope the new OC looks at what horses we have in the stable and amends the offense to best utilize the guys on the roster NOW.
I hope our new oc is not a big name, hungry to rise and puts the effort in that half of 22 season staff wouldn’t. Winner of no big awards without needing 3+ Staff helping prep run game or passing game as well because they’re oc only in title

Would be nice to have a oc not mass texting his players talking **** about the school he works at nor tweeting like Antoine Jackson
