No chance Diaz and Blake are both back

I’ve been telling you guys this for a while now. Blake is done, and has been. The NC State comments just cemented it. This is not really new.
Yeah I just don’t understand why we are pandering to him if that’s the case. If he’s done then just get rid of his ***. Announce it. Start a “search”. Why do this whole limbo thing and keep everyone talking about it more and more

It's what snakes and weasels would do. Blake James is a snake weasel
Gotta give it the Blake..It was the smart play at the time. It wasn't considered a gamble at the time as 95% of the posters on CIS had us getting blown out by NC State. So he went with the smart play but like any gamble..it can backfire and it did. He took a risk and it didnt come through so now he has to accept the consequences. But at the time, it was the better play then betting that Manny would somehow go on a 3 game winning streak. (**** at this point, probably will be 6 game winning streak and the lucky SOB might just win the Coastal if things fall in the right place. Imagine that. Smh)

It’s Miami, there won’t be any search.

Getting their doesn’t guarantee him another year, winning it might. If Mario wants in nothing matters.
there may be a wrinkle in the Mario hiring.

looking at his schedule, he looks like he's going to win out the remaining games and if he wins his conference championship he will make the playoffs. if that happens, will he actually leave?

what if he wins the semi final game and goes to the title game? will he actually leave?

and if wins the title? will he leave?

by the way, his sole loss this year is vs Stanford, not a good look until you realize that his OC went down to an illness before the game and they had to improvise on the run.

I think it just has more to do with trying to logistically manage the situation, rather than having a position open without someone to install quickly. I’m only guessing. But you don’t hire a fire emotionally.

I’ve had people that I’ve had to fire where I gave no clue to that person because they could do some damage while they were still employed, or I just wanted them to keep them humping until it was time for them to go. There are always reasons to delay a firing from a logistical or strategic standpoint. And those are the things we are not aware of.

But again I’m just guessing as to the internal machinations. As long as he’s done I’m good, whether that’s now or a few months from now.

We’d have to make a really good offer and show him we’re serious. And that doesn’t guarantee him coming. I still say 50-50 because things haven’t gotten real yet. Not hiring him three years ago will make this extremely hard.

Completely understand what you’re saying. I just worry that somehow Blake weasels his way into staying just like Manny is trying to do in a weak *** Coastal division

Honestly though, how many coaches out there have 3 to 4 years of job security? You can probably count them on two hands and have fingers left over.
Most head coaching jobs you usually get a minimum of 3 years (see Manny Diaz lol). Slick Willie's firing was more of an outlier.

Looks like the Washington job, along with USC, will be open soon. Very interested to see if Washington goes big. They could. May have a marginal impact on Mario's decisional calculus.

CEO Manny is Ed Orgeron with half the recruiting ability and a lisp instead of the cajun accent

And an ugly wife instead of cycling through the fine 19-22 year old co-eds taking turns coming to practice
JFC! Lol

Winning is now weaseling?
Look I’m happy as **** we have won 3 straight. I hope we win out too. But you can’t sit here and honestly say that us being in 5 toss up games that all could have gone either way is what we should be seeing in year 3 from of a coaching staff. It’s not sustainable. It’s a mirage. Pumpers will say we should be 7-2. Doomers will say we should be 2-7. Reality is our record speaks for itself and if you constantly keep yourself tight in games like we have you will win some and lose some and pretty much finish every year 8-4 or 7-5. I’m pretty confident nobody on this board wants that. So yeah, if we are anointing Manny this great head coach because he beat NC State, Pitt and GT I would call that weaseling into another year and great sell by him to the powers that be
