No chance Diaz and Blake are both back

Assistants are nomads. There will be a mile long line for this DC job regardless of who’s coaching imo.
I agree but I am sure you would want an elite DC correct? Why would an elite DC take this job over another where the head coach has at least 3 - 4 years of job security?

And Manny would open himself up to additional questions (which he will try and spin out of) he would like to avoid.

The best DC we could possibly do would be Will Muschamp and that's if TRob hasn't already told him not to come and if someone else doesn't hire him and then he's gonna take TRob.

Even if it was possible - that's a totally different scheme than Diaz runs and he's not likely to make that change on the hot seat with the possibility they don't hit the ground running trying to adapt to a new scheme, terminology, and the fact that our personnel might not fit in that style.

Fck both of them. Neither one deserves their post at this University. Both trying to spin chit to absolve themselves.

Don’t let these 3 wins cause ur brains not to remember that Diaz just blamed the fans for his recruiting woes. Now he’s pointing the finger towards Blake. Both are POS politicians who refuse to accept accountability. Fck them both.

No coach worth his salt will go work under number one a mediocre DC that has control problems , he has to be the smaetest guy in the room, and a hc coach on the hot seat.

You’ll either have to crazily over spend or take a nobody from a small school. No big name dc will risk his reputation and career on a lame suck coach. Miami knows this, that’s why it’s accg or bust for him. Keeping him around an extra year will prolong the inevitable and will kill two recruiting classes in a row versus only one.

So Shoop won’t be DC next season?

Honestly though, how many coaches out there have 3 to 4 years of job security? You can probably count them on two hands and have fingers left over.

Hiring a DC involves an entire staff shakeup that's going to be a disaster.

You obviously can just fire Patke and hire a DC/LB coach and then assign someone else on staff to Special teams. Then your special teams are still a disaster.

You can fire Patke and Aristide and then hire a DC/LB coach and a ST coordinator and have someone else coach Strikers (assign the position group to the LB coach or to TRob) and then you just sacrificed one of your better recruiters that you just brought in from Texas A&M and doesn't deserve to be fired. In order to hire a DC - 2 guys have to go. Patke is the obvious choice. After that your weak links are Field, Aristide, and DVD in that order. 3 of your 4 best recruiters - that all 'specialize' in recruiting south Florida.

We've shuffled through 2 OCs, 2 DCs, and soon to be 2 ST coordinators and the best hit we've got on any of those is an offense ranked in the 30s. At some point you just axe the guy that's made those hires. The rate he's gone through staff can be viewed as good - because he's making necessary changes when needed - or bad because he can't hire the right guy. He's expedited his tenure and expedited his own expectations - we've all seen enough.
It's not much more complicated than this. If you are GM for a business and you have to cycle through 2 controllers and 2 sales directors (in 3 years) and you aren't improving your financial performance or revenue generation, then the next time you go to your boss to replace one of those chairs you're going to be packing your ****. It works like this everywhere in business but not at the Hecht. "He just needs another chance after his 4 other hires failed." Give me a break

If Blake is gonna get fired why wait until the end of the football season ? He’s the AD , there’s technically no “end of the season” for him right ? Let his *** go now.

Not to mention if they wait till after the season there wont be time to to hire the next AD with time left in the year to properly evaluate the football program. No AD is going to come in here and rush a house cleaning scenario when the last AD was fired for making bad coaching hires.

I wish us just sneaking into the ACCCG because the coastal is garbage would not give him more time. Again nothing is changing with Manny. To your point it just prolongs the inevitable

The way you're talking, it's like there are actually competent people thinking about this. How in the **** did that happen?

Getting their doesn’t guarantee him another year, winning it might. If Mario wants in nothing matters.
That’s good to know. Well hopefully Mario wants in regardless of whatever Oregon does to finish out the year
