Scooby Carter (Bama) and Mannie Netherly (LSU) are highest rated portal CBs available, but I believe both would have to sit out a year because neither is a Grad Senior. What do we do about our complete lack of CB depth for next season, given we only signed one high school CB and he may not be ready to play right away?

What we will probably be able to get in any position from the portal as a result of this season record is people to fill the roster with little chance of contributing.
Especially in the offensive line where real help is needed real quick.

amazing how we are yearly over the past 2 decades consistently have had to talk about the lack of depth at db, wr and lb as if we are a school in montana!!! watch like clock a few of those lower ranked players that were not good enough for our dominated program continue to show out at some lesser SEC school and make it to the pros and be why more productive to anyone that's come out of our program in over 20 years. #tnm

Only good news is Ivey and Blades got some experience this year that will only help for next year.
If we play an aggressive attack defense it will protect them as well.
Problem is we are one injury from a complete disaster.

There is a 4* from Maryland in the portal (from Tampa) and a near 4* from Kentucky . Both would have to sit a year. a couple top 100 CBs from Fl/GA unsigned for 2020.

Tyler Coyle of UConn is immediately eligible and was their best player on the entire team. Has over 200 career tackles, good size, 3 interceptions in his career and took 2 back for TDs. Started over 30 games in his career

played safety at UConn but came in as a CB

I’m sure there are plenty of jimmy murphy’s on the team now that will surface next year at some point
