N'Kosi Perry

Jacory was a touch passer without much ability to move around in the pocket. N’Kosi has a wayy strong arm and much more athletic ability, although he’s not some dominant scrambler either. They aren’t that similar.

Thanks for the insight. Probably a bad "name" comparison but I guess my question is what should we expect, if he wins the job.. I know no one really knows but there is not much game film in him on YouTube, and hard to judge off 7on7 from paradise camp with no pass rush. Is he a gamer. Does he have that IT factor. Cause that's what we need

Agreed and it’s hard to answer those questions until he gets into a game

John Richt will be his QB coach...Let that sink in.

We won 10 games with a bad baseball player who had football offers from Middle Tennessee and Arkansas State. After letting it sink in, JRicht might be the assistant coach of the decade.

Floor, Heismam; Ceiling, Most Decorated QB in CFB history. Lol.

On the real, I think Perry will be a really good QB for us bringing consistent play, sustainable drives, and better RZ offense

To be fair, I believe Malik decommitted from bama to come here. Not saying he was great, but he had good offers too.

At the end of the day, people need to remember Rosier is what we all expected him to be at the beginning of the season, if not just a little better. People believe he would be 3rd string, would transfer, would disappear etc. He made a lot of big play that helped us win games this year, but he also had very bad games and plays where he single handedly lost us games. It doesn't help that Walton, Herndon, and Richards were all out or struggled all year like Richards.

I think you’re confusing Marve and Rosier.....

First, he has to win the job. Second, if he does win the job, I expect him to have a very solid season with moments of brilliance. Our O is going to be totally different next year personnel wise than it was towards the end of the season.

Richt gets production out of QBs. N’Kosi or whoever will put up numbers. What I want us to find is a QB who is a playmaker...makes things happen even when the play doesn’t get executed perfectly. I also want to see a QB who can take control of the offense as the season moves forward, and execute well enough to step on teams’ throats.

Not as you'd really notice.

Richt wants his "system," and I suppose that's a fair starting point - but I want some QB's that can just get the job done regardless of whether or not his rigid "progressions" aren't there.

I get everyone hates Malik now, but you have to take the good with the bad or is it bad with the good? We won a few games because of
Malik . . .

Any good he had was just making up for the bad he had earlier in the game

He is, from the 247 website his only offers were:

- Miami
- Arkansas State
- Furman
- Louisiana Lafayette
- Middle Tennessee
- Northern Illinois
- Southern Miss
- Western Kentucky

So we were his only P5 offer

I am not knocking Perry. He has a lot of hype and I hope it is all true. There is another very hyped QB coming in who will be here for spring practice. I do not care whether Williams or Perry is the starter. I just hope one of them will be far enough ahead in fall practice to be the starter next year.

JR will be 28 years old this coming year; not a peep that any other staffs are pursuing him, even though he is at an age when most (he is a millennial after all) would be wanting to show they don't need Daddy wiping their *** anymore.

If, God forbid, Perry falters, your assistant of the decade IS the reason.

My bad. I was. I just remember a qb decommitted from bama and came to us and one of our qbs decommitted and went to bama (Nick Fanuzzi). Plus Rosier is from Mobile which is probably why I thought it was him.

What is the expectation for him. Jamies Winston type season, lead us to a NC? A better version of Jacory? He's been here long enough to learn the "system" hit the weights etc. , how hard is it anyway since we only run 8 plays anyways? He should be good to go

If he is the goods we should know who the starter will be by the end of spring right? Even if not officially announced, it'll be clear from practice reports, scrimmages, spring game, etc.

I like this Williams kid too but think it's unrealistic for a True Fr to come in and win the job. Just pray someone steps up and wins the job not named Malik. With Malik we cap out as coastal champs and loser of the ACC game. We cannot win big with malik

Imo... He needs to be as good as brock was in 04. This what is floor must be. If he is that good, then we are a ******* problem. Maybe, just maybe if he is as good as jacory was in 2011(minus the last game vs bc) we may still be able to make some noise. I'm not going to put any of the greats name in cause that's hoping for too much...

**** it, I'm high, if he plays like any of the greats (dorsey 00-02, Erickson 90,or Vinny 85-86)then we ******!!!!!!

Kendal Briles’ is a Houston grad. Before the Baylor meltdown...

-worked with his dad until age 34 (apparently needed more *** wiping)
-What other staffs were beating down his door?
-he was a millennial by the definition

*did a helluva job at FAU this year

If Perry falters, there are any number of reasons that might not have anything to do with Jon Richt jeopardizing his “coach of the decade” status.

Ah, it's personal for you. I should've known that this couldn't be a civil discussion.

If the coaches suck, who is getting credit for the 10-win season?

If he's not starting we will have the same type of season next year. The kid either has to goods or he doesn't, If he doesn't then we are in trouble unless you want to start a true freshman.

Personal? No, maybe that's you and Jim Morris (whom I agree needs to be replaced). Exchanging ideas about a coach is civil; maybe the whole Chip Kelly to UF thing has you jumpy.

You must not read the board much if you think people just have an expectation of him being a better version of Jacory.

Jacory was a tall skinny thrower coming in who was well recruited nationally. Is that not what N'Kosi is? A better version of Jacory means winning big games and The ACC/NC. That was the expectation then and still is. Jacory didn't achieve that, hence why I said BETTER version.

shannon destroyed jacory

Whipple destroyed Jacory
