What is the expectation for him. Jamies Winston type season, lead us to a NC? A better version of Jacory? He's been here long enough to learn the "system" hit the weights etc. , how hard is it anyway since we only run 8 plays anyways? He should be good to go

If he is the goods we should know who the starter will be by the end of spring right? Even if not officially announced, it'll be clear from practice reports, scrimmages, spring game, etc.

I like this Williams kid too but think it's unrealistic for a True Fr to come in and win the job. Just pray someone steps up and wins the job not named Malik. With Malik we cap out as coastal champs and loser of the ACC game. We cannot win big with malik

First, he has to win the job. Second, if he does win the job, I expect him to have a very solid season with moments of brilliance. Our O is going to be totally different next year personnel wise than it was towards the end of the season.

Richt gets production out of QBs. N’Kosi or whoever will put up numbers. What I want us to find is a QB who is a playmaker...makes things happen even when the play doesn’t get executed perfectly. I also want to see a QB who can take control of the offense as the season moves forward, and execute well enough to step on teams’ throats.

You must not read the board much if you think people just have an expectation of him being a better version of Jacory.

On one of the recent podcasts it was commentated that the most talented player on the roster is N'Kosi and all indications were that he has made leaps and bounds improvement over the last month. Richt also has said N'Kosi has the strongest arm.

Hopefully he lives up to the hype.

Jacory was a tall skinny thrower coming in who was well recruited nationally. Is that not what N'Kosi is? A better version of Jacory means winning big games and The ACC/NC. That was the expectation then and still is. Jacory didn't achieve that, hence why I said BETTER version.

Jacory was a touch passer without much ability to move around in the pocket. N’Kosi has a wayy strong arm and much more athletic ability, although he’s not some dominant scrambler either. They aren’t that similar.

I feel like saying “a better version of Jacory” = a decent but not great QB. I think. I guess it’s just The it was worded or came across. I just thought you’d say the next _____ (and name a great college QB)

Thanks for the insight. Probably a bad "name" comparison but I guess my question is what should we expect, if he wins the job.. I know no one really knows but there is not much game film in him on YouTube, and hard to judge off 7on7 from paradise camp with no pass rush. Is he a gamer. Does he have that IT factor. Cause that's what we need

I get everyone hates Malik now, but you have to take the good with the bad or is it bad with the good? We won a few games because of
Malik . . .

His poor play kept teams close to us, and then in the 4th he would get his act together. If you want to give him credit for pulling it out late, you also have to give him the blame for the game being that close.

Malik did some good things this year. But if he's our QB next year I don't see how we could be better. With Malik as QB we are just coastal champs at best, we won't be able to go any further.

richt was right to redshirt perry. you could destroy a young qb by playing him too soon.
