N'Kosi Perry senior highlights

His arm strength is impressive, but it doesn't look like he plants and puts his body into a lot of throws when he has the time to do it. Can anyone shed light on his mechanics?

He has a noticeably slow release....

Yeah, I did notice that. But his ability to avoid the rush kinda counters that. What I did notice though, is that he let's the ball hang in the air a bit too long. In CFB, the game gets much faster, and so he's going to have to put a zip on some of those throws. Just my observation.

I was thinking the same. The highlight tape reminded me of Jacory, but I felt the same way when watching Teddy's highlights too.

The crackback block at 2:45

That's the type of QB players rally around. His film was very impressive. Decent footwork in the pocket and fluid passer. He looks effortless throwing the ball 50+ yards. I hope he red-shirts and adds 10-15 of good weight, but it might be hard to keep him off the field if Brad goes pro.

Feels good to finally have legit QB competition again. Very impressive pocket presence, accuracy, and arm strength.

I know most think he should redshirt- i don't.. i think this guy should get snaps every game next year. and in the games where kaaya is off- or the games where we can not protect him at all- N'kosi should finish those games off. Kid is special- you redshirt him- he might not be here for his 5th year anyway just my opinion.

Agreed. I don't want a two QB system but I do want a package for him to get in the game. That RPO oooouuuu

He has a noticeably slow release. Not Tebow-slow, but still a bit slow. Not un-fixable either. His footwork is a little wonky, but man his freaking wrist-flicks go 60 yards so there's not a whole lot to complain about.
Will wait till see him here, but that release is definitely off. It's not worse than Deandre Francois' release, though. And, while it's something that may hurt him in the NFL, I think we're all probably ready for college success being more important than NFL success.

Lots of dudes in this class that are pretty highly rated yet their rating isn't high enough. N'kosi is top 2-3 QB films I've seen all year. Navaughn is a 5 star top 20 player, DJ Johnson is a top 40 player, Ford is going to be an absolute animal, how he's not a 4 star across the board I don't know. Amari Carter, Wilder, Steed, Njoku, Weldon, Gibson.. same thing. Seriously not a player in our class I don't like.

Not that high on Dingle but there's a lot the kid offers that I like.
