He looked like he was hesitant to tuck and run when he could have. He might’ve been scared to get chewed out
Nobody on this board really can cause we not at practice every day..but I’ll bite..how about being accountable..rosier hasn’t been suspended for a opener![]()
Yeah, I hear what you're saying, but N'kosi needs to be given the chance. Toledo and FIU really are the perfect games to give our backup Qb's ample opportunities to be in real games.I posted this before in another thread, but it needs to be said again. Perry looks like he could easily be another Jacory Harris. He can make plays that can win the game for his team. He can also make plays that can win the game for the other team.
I do think he has much more upside than Rosier, but that's not a revelation.
I'm all for someone else besides Rosier getting in the game vs. Toledo. But I'm not sold on the idea that Perry is gonna come in against real competition and set the world on fire.

And, like everyone else, Malik needs to ride the pine from here on out. None of our backups will be significantly worse than him in order to rationalize starting Malik the whole season instead of preparing the team for success next year.
When it comes to that position yesIf you're using suspensions as an excuse for having a less talented player on the field, you're watching the wrong sport.
Should the Toledo game be uncharacteristically close as last season...does CMR get any young qb or rb in the game? Do we get to see how Perry and/or Lo perform vs better comp.
Hypothetically; If Canes are up or down 7 early in the 2nd qtr, is that a situation where you would want to see how Perry handles the moment. It's a road game with a hostile crowd, would you make the move to energize the offense if the 3 and outs warrant a change. Does CMR allow #12 to work thru his struggles considering last years heroics. If Canes cannot push their lead beyond 10 throughtout the contest, do we see Weldon/Perry for even a series or two.
I think Williams will be a guaranteed redshirt, which is not a bad thing for the team. CMR just will not give him enuf reps with the 1s to play anything more than mop up. Like Perry, Williams needs to glue himself to CMR and that playbook from now until they leave the U.
