NIL Executive Order

Athletes explicity won't be classified as employees. No collective bargaining protections or labor protections. The Big 10 colluding together to validate its bull**** pre house settlement contract regarding Xavier Lucas, the beyond asinine contractual clauses FSU wants to enforce. Crimson red flags of multiple proportions and an emphatic "**** no"

Funny how most of these decisions lately have been anti-athlete as ****, and all for those that benefit the most from these very same athletes.
I imagine there's probably a way to regulate the wild west portal without having to go backwards in time and restricting athlete rights under the illusion of "amateurism", but that requires actually giving a **** about all parties involved.

love when the rich white dudes get salty bc the minority are getting what they deserve.

no one is sitting here limiting CEO Salaries but god forbid talented minorities earn something, everyone gets all crazy
Are you assuming that Trump is going punish athletes or endorse the settlement terms? I don't understand this reaction.

Why do you people always have to bring up race?

This is clearly about protecting the innocence of our sweet, precious student-athletes.

coaches dont give a **** about the players. theyre just a means to an end for them to pad their wallets and eventually cash in on the golden ticket aka buyout money.

Because it is about race. What world are you living in? The majority of college football players are minorities. You can’t be serious

Yeah, funny how that works, no? Most people think it's fairly obvious that athletes will eventually be viewed as employees with collective bargaining and labor protections as it will be extremely difficult to prove they aren't employees to anyone with half a brain.

As usual, the NCAA will not be proactive, but rather just drag it on until the courts rule against them (and they will). It's very disconcerting to see those in government possibly assisting in this mistreatment of the ones truly bringing in all the $$$ - the players. I think the NCAA's only hope is for them to get an anti-trust exemption. Otherwise, hard to see them winning in court.

Some think it is related to race, and I'm sure it could be part of it to some in power, but I think it's just economics at the end of the day. Those who have money want to keep their money and increase it as much as possible by sharing as little as they can with those who are the reason the money is coming in in the first place - regardless of their race.
