Anyone know what's going on here? Would prefer we as a program keep our kids at a distance from Barstool and this stuff. Not because I have any issue with them as an entity but I can absolutely see the ONE example that the NCAA (or even the State of Florida) makes in penalizing a school or player on this front being something like a Miami and Barstool relationship. And to be honest, Portnoy would probably see a lot more value in a faux scandal like that than in any actual NIL deal.

I’m assuming there’s specific legal avenues that potential sponsors need to follow to get approved NIL contracts and Barstool might be ignoring them? Just because you can get paid for your likeness, doesn’t mean it’s just a free-for-all. There’s still rules for how it has to be done

I’m sure they’ll find that every SEC school is perfectly compliant until somebody other than Bama UGA LSU or UF starts winning and then poof. Non-compliant.

I know we’ve had our own in-house football related problems but the biggest reason Bama has been so dominant is because they can do whatever the **** they want and the minute anybody gains an inch on them they’re on probation.

I would assume it has something to do with how Barstool handled their NIL ordeal. They literally announced out of nowhere they were signing athletes. Doesn’t look like they are paying them, but either way nothing was in place and I’m positive they never read a single rule involved. CYA by Louisville, just in case.
 
Miami should contact barstool sports immediately. Another $500/month per hurricane won’t hurt.

That's the nonsense you are defending. Then again, we have an undercurrent of douchebaggery in our fanbase as well, so I'm not shocked that some people would be behind such a garbage platform.
