Nick Saban

Bama winning is such a staple it doesn't mean anything anymore, its these UGAs of the world popping up that is a problem

If there is something there (which I have no doubt but also no proof) and the NCAA doesn't want to take it down, the IRS surely will and could. They have taken down bigger people. At that point the NCAA would have no choice but to follow or just lose any credibility and also lose the rest of college sports.

This always becomes a touchy subject, but let's take the emotions out of it and look at what actually is going on-- we aren't going to our 'Bama, Bama. What we need to do is be concerned about schools like Georgia. The common battle ground with them should be North FL, not Dade and Broward. Their emphasis and success here needs to be counted 2 or 3 to 1. We shouldn't be splitting victory or losing to them in our own backyard. That was inexcusable.

No doubt the "support" system around Bama is real and unrivaled by anyone else, but let's not waste our time there, or de-emphasize the other, equally large portion of the equation: He's won, what, 5 of the last 8 NCs and the guy doesn't delegate recruiting the top of their board to anyone. He will personally land in a helicopter at your school to talk to you, and no one else, and then fly away. That's the crap you get away with when your Saban. He will win some big targets down here from now until he retires. But the Kirby Farts, Billy Backfarts and Fran Mullets are the guys you need to out-recruit. Do that, and Saban feels like less of an issue.

Ok, I’ll buy your part about Saban, about the other coaches though, not only do you have to out recruit them, I agree with that, we have to out recruit their invisible boosters with their bags, jobs for families, paid apartments, condos, and leased cars, as well as spending cash.

In the meantime, Miami is still on its knees and begging it’s boosters for the last few hundred thousand to finish the fit and finish of the inside of the IPF. That’s just a fact. Let’s not be naive about what’s at play here.

For those kids and their families that get the word out that they can be bought, you can already write them off - they’re not coming. We all know who that was last cycle.
