Saban is the darling of the NCAA and Emmett the President of the association.He is allowed to rant and cheat all he wants and the NCAA looks the other way..In the NFL he was not allowed to buy players and get 22 first round picks like he does now.**** their receivers this year were past the salary cap.Saban without these benefits is a little better than an average coach as he demonstrated when he was a head coach for the Dolphins.
 
College football has had multiple cycles of dominant great teams over the last 20 years:

Miami, USC, UF, FSU and now Clemson. Bama was a constant through most of that time, until now.

Inevitably players get complacent and think they're going to win just because they put on that team's uniform. The hunger and drive to be the best starts to wane and those teams inevitably start to crash and burn.

Bama is finally there imo.

Will be interesting to see where Saban goes from here.

Wtf are you all smoking? Bama lost two games. If we lost two this year you would all be saying we are back. bama is still elite smh

It happened to Carroll at USC, Meyer at UF and Dumbo at FSU. Look at their records their final year at those schools. Imo, after a while the message starts to get lost, no matter how good the coach.

Just look at the defensive numbers. Bama hasn't been able to stop a good offensive team in two seasons now. Yes they won 10 games against the dregs of their schedule. But they are getting exposed by every good team they play.

Like him or not, he is correct about the clock issue right before half. The clock would have started on ball placement and ran out before Auburn could have gotten lined up. It's a complete whiff in how replay works in that scenario.
 
Refs gave them plenty of time on the punt substitution. He just got bamboozled and is embarrassed so he’ll whine to get the rules changed. Just like when up tempo offenses started beating his defenses.

Greats recruiter of all time though.
