Yea you could tell everyone else didnt know how to take it with the nervous laughter.. Even Kirk was like what are we doing to Saban when he was initially going in.. lol
 
I’ll be honest. I wanted Mario to spike that football trophy, stare into the monitor and say “wrong trophy, we will get ours on the 19th!” And walk off!!!!
Be about that bidness coach!!!
 
I suspect those two remain in close contact. Saban is always completely disarmed when they talk. I hope they're talking about how to approach this game.

They have an incredible relationship. I don’t ever recall seeing another coach from a Saban staff needling Saban the way he does or Saban’s willingness to banter. You can tell that Mario has really earned Saban’s respect.
 
Mario's a true alpha and now has serious credibility. When you factor in the NIL $ he's got to work with (which will be even more after this season), recruiting is probably about to go through the roof. And I don't see Mario going anywhere. Great time to be a Cane.
