Player! Maybe our lowest rated O-Lineman coming out and kid is balling. Congrats. Show's that sometimes it's not all about mesurables.

Is he in line to be our center next year? I know he's doing great at LG, but would love to see him at center - a position where we've frankly been real weak at the last several years.

Credit to Kehoe for developing this kid.. kid is surpassing all my expectations for him

He would certainly be a better option at center, but Al and staff don't have the capacity to recognize where best a player can help us. Wouldn't be surprised if they moved him LB, "because we need depth there and Nick can handle it".

Oh baloney... McDermott has been solid if not spectacular at center and he is a senior making all the line calls. The kid is a really good athlete and not some oversized kid who dominated because he was one of the biggest guys on the field. A 7A All State football selection and high school basketball player as well. Darling, McDermott and Linder make this a very, very good line class.

McDermott and spectacular has never been used in the same sentence before this post

Perfect example of the importance of intelligence and toughness being so important when recruiting OL. You can take a slightly smaller slightly less athletically impressive dude and make a very good OL out of him if he's smarter and tougher than the other guys.
