Portal Nick Dorn Portals from Indiana to Miami (Long Term Discussion Thread)

Good. pickup. He's exactly the type of player the posters who have called for more shooting should be thrilled about.

6'7" wing who shot 38% from 3 and showed last season he can play at the high major level as a role player.

It's possible he starts, but more likely he fills the rotation spot Timo played last year

We’ll see, but I think he’ll start over dante

i very much like this pickup, exactly the kinda guy we needed. seems like an elite catch and shoot guy, will play perfectly next to Lewis' pick and roll game. gives flexibility for Dante to play some more point instead of having to be the wing shooter primarily on offense.

Hopefully, the competition for PT means they'll push each other, which should be a good thing for both, and the team.

Dante did play well for a true Freshman. I'd expect him to be better in Year Two. Unlike Dorn, I think Dante still has a ceiling he hasn't reached yet.

I think he’s a better stylistic option to be next to Lewis more. More of a catch and shoot guy. But I think they’ll swap and Jai will figure out what pairing works best. Dorn’s three ball or Dante’s defense. I’d bet Dante starts out, but Dorn will be starting at the 2 come March.

hurt at beginning of the year. There were high expectations of him at IU this past season. These types of pickups make the roster deeper. Good get.

Poking around on some IU forums, seems like this dude got red hot for like 2 weeks, but was otherwise pretty meh. Agreed with whoever said it above, this is probably a Timo upgrade, but my guess is he's not a starter.
