What happened Sunday night can not be overstated.
Prime time orange out, sold out, controlling the tempo and dominating the trenches with a sold out stadium, HOF’ers in the sidelines….celebrities and billionaires in the stadium….
Beating a team who made it to the final game and who everyone picked to beat us.
Having a 17 year be the leading receiver and a local kid and a Samoan about to go early day one to the nfl.
It’s something that the local kids never believed would happen.
It’s something that the oos kids were told wasn’t true.
It’s something that all the kids thought they could only experience at other schools.
Sunday wasn’t talk.
Sunday wasn’t history.
Sunday wasn’t some urban legend or a grainy video in 720p with commercials about AOL dial up.
Sunday wasn’t unc reminiscing about what used to be while he sits sipping liquor next to the grill.
It was in your face reality.
In a new world where kids don’t blaze their own path, Sunday was a place and a team that they will want to be a part of instead of a story on YouTube or in unc’s vhs.
