Nicholas Lennear sets personal record in 100 meters

Lol bro, yall need to chill, yall looking at the wrong things. He is pretty fast for a football player. But what i see is a competitor. He plays defense, he is making picks on defense, and now he is out there at track training. In addition to being a natural WR. That means all he is doing is working on his body all year. He is competing. Track training will humble you, especially when he is running against track athletes who are getting scholarships to schools like LSU and UF just for that. That's another dog.

That

This is what I was talking about when I asked the question in another thread. He sure didn't look like a 11+ guy. I watch movements on the field, and he reminded me of Garrett Wilson. Again, I don't know if Lennear will eventually run a sub 4.4, but I'd be surprised if he didn't dip into the 10s (without wind aiding him). His *on-field* acceleration through the first few steps is really outstanding.
Yea if you never train for the track even if you are fast you wont put up good numbers your first time out, it will take time to really get used to it and a good coach taking you thru the different phases of a race (which different coaches call different things or 4/5 phases) but usually start, acceleration/drive, transition, max velocity, maintenance/speed endurance (this is where people think the leader in race is running faster when in reality they are holding top speed longer and other racers are decelerating most likely in last 30 meters, one of reasons why its recommended ballers run besides the initial explosiveness.), the finish.

I hate to talk about this because I can explain to you but then someone like nights comments that its slow and not sure if he trolling or not and the convo goes off rails :ibis-roflmao-sm3:.. Im just happy he grinding thru because it only helps even though he is being challenged and ego/pr is involved..

Just looked up PD and my man has been "in the league" for almost 10 years but has been on "reserve/futures" contracts the past few years and hasn't had a single snap. Since 2019, he's barely played. Anyway, kudos to him to staying in the league

Is he making money?

Played like 5-6 seasons in the league right? Nothing wrong with that.

Little bit of a bust for where he was picked? Yes…But not lot like a total egg, played a lot of football including being a reliable guy with a 5 TD season for the goat

No doubt. I wasn't judging - just making an observation on his interesting career especially the last 5 years.

I don’t disagree with the premise as a whole but 2019 is pushing the timeline a bit too far back. After 2023, yeah.

He had 20 catches in 2022 and played 34 snaps in 2023. Obviously he’s on the outside looking in but Tom Brady seems to heavily trust him as a locker room guy & practice squad professional.

Beats having to get it out the mud in the CFL or UFL if you wanna keep playing.

6 WRs taken in the first round, 35 WRs taken altogether in the 2015 NFL draft.

Three ‘Canes on here. If I were to have sorted it by yards instead of catches, Dorsett would be a few spots higher.

I remember we recruited Jaelen Strong who ended up being a third round draft pick with not much production in the league; really good college player. Was a JUCO guy first.

Bears took Kevin White seventh who finished his career with 28 receptions. Devin Smith from OSU went 2nd round, 37th pick and washed outta the league.

Perryman still going from this draft class.

Five star wide receivers have to have the highest bust % outta all position groups. It’s be hard to quantify what’s a bust in the Not For Long league; and because quarterbacks play by different rules as Jameis still being in the league etc. Still, feels like so many 5* & high 4* WRs end up being JAGs. Duron Carter was the highly touted go to guy at STA when Dorsett was there.

There's a yes and no from me.

Recent science and sprint training suggests volume in muscle size in certain areas translate to explosive ability. So weight training is key.

The reason why drills exist that force the body to contract muscles within split seconds is to teach the muscle to fire quickly. Sprinting doesn't teach that necessarily, as we can simply be wrong in repetition. So we need additional work that allows the fundamental ability to be there.

It's needless to say that this is, probably, a 16-year-old kid running a sub 11. I'm not sure what the fuss about his speed is all about.
