Nicholas Lennear sets personal record in 100 meters

Imagine seeing a guy absolutely fly past defenders, and then having the audacity to say 'he’s not fast' because of a 10.77 100-meter time. Do you want him to run a 9.9 while carrying a linebacker, or are you just trying to sound smart while being entirely wrong? Stop looking at track times watch the actual game tape.

For the record, I don’t care about his track speed but dude you’re showing your ignorance.

He ran a 10.77 (wind aided) with little track experience or coaching. If you don’t think somebody like that can be coached on technique down to a 10.6, somebody who has run very little track, you’re just showing your ignorance. In fact, this may even be his first year running track in any organized fashion. I don’t see any times before 2026. Start/block technique alone, can shave tenths of a second, or more, off the hundred meter time. Again your ignorance shows. Again, not that it matters because I only care about football speed.

You only care about football speed? so you agree with me without even realizing it. Not gonna waste time addressing the other **** you said. meaningless. We're both in agreement long story short.

Track speed/ natural speed/ foot speed/ etc play a factor. I do have faith that he can run just as fast or faster than this wind aided time otherwise a 10.7 wind aided 100m does not move me.

He's on the right track/projectory. Thats is all that matters to you and I banter aside..... for the fans and for miami football.

You still need track/speed talent. I dont give a dam what your "technique" is or how much you train if you're slow you're slow thats it. Otherwise every body would be popping 10.6's if you could "coach" it.
Thats why I said if you running a low 11s as a junior without being a track guy, u have good enough natural speed to get sub 10.8.

55m is a much better indicator of football speed versus the 100m. How many times do the elite players run over 80 yards in one season? Maybe twice?
If they run indoor track. Down here very few early meets have the indoor 55 and 60m dashes. Would be nice.

Good! That's exactly what he needs to do if he wants to be the impact player Miami wants/needs.

Great thing bout it. Young bull is still maturing and developing. Him and toney on the field together should cause
Chaos like bain and mesidor .
It took some time and ALOT of grinding but our WR core coming into this season is gonna be a PROBLEM.. We dam near 9 deep with legit talent that could play..

Indeed. So many dam* X factors!!!!!!

Will be a joy to watch and other opposing teams to deal with well its a issue.

This team is locked in.

Amen… I don't see why any of this issue? He is not running slow times. He is in a 10.9-11 flat range right now a month or two into running track. The worst he is coming into college at is 10.8 and maybe down even in the 10.7 range. There is no issue here.

4 years ago we didn’t have a kid on the roster that ran sub 10.7. Now we are complaining about kids that run 10.7-10.8. Life is tough!

“We” are not complaining. “He” is complaining. One person who is renting too much time in everyone’s head about Lennear’s speed. I suggest the rest of us ignore this meaningless issue.

That
Lets see if the haters come in and say anything, :ibis-roflmao-sm3:

First time really grinding it out man, let these kids work and stop discouraging them on track times in the first meet.. COTDAM..

KEEP WORKING!
This is what I was talking about when I asked the question in another thread. He sure didn't look like a 11+ guy. I watch movements on the field, and he reminded me of Garrett Wilson. Again, I don't know if Lennear will eventually run a sub 4.4, but I'd be surprised if he didn't dip into the 10s (without wind aiding him). His *on-field* acceleration through the first few steps is really outstanding.

Which is the most important type of "speed" for a football player.
