Keep hearing good things about Reed, maturity, leadership, etc. My understanding is that he came to Coach L at the half and suggested that he and Newton switch coverage and that shut down down the big NC State shooter (Smith?).

They didn't really shut him down, he was still on fire, the only difference was that the law of averages eventually kicked in, and the rest of the Wolfpack stopped hitting every shot. Smith got his points, but a lot of it was on isolation garbage, and that's exactly what Miami wanted. Them taking 25+ seconds, to jack up low percentage shots is what you want as a defense. Now, Smith hit a ton of them, but there's nothing you can do about that.
