Thought this was an interesting stat…

To count towards a university's total, I assume it is based on where a player last played college ball? ie: Gus Edwards, even though he played for us for 4 years, would count for Rutgers?

I'm cheating by adding Santana Moss...

But the RB's Miami had in a 4 year period 98-01 would go on to have 50,000 NFL rushing yds

That'd be 14th ever from just those 4 years. That's insane.

Adding Santana isn’t cheating… the stat is rush yards not yards by a RB.

And I’m sure your wording wasn’t intentional but UM “produced players who totaled over 50,000 yards in their careers” who played here during that time.

Ex: Frank’s 16,000 was from 2005-2020… he certainly didn’t rush for 16,000 yards in 4 years.

I remember being in the east EZ at OB eating chicken wings and beer at Monte’s sponsored Hurricane Club .
Watching Santana return punts at pregame, to watch SM catch and return punts was outrageously impressive his eye hand coordination extraordinary quick .

Every time I hear SM name I think back about those days in EZ every home game watching warm ups of SM.

People forget Ottis Anderson was a Super Bowl MVP. Really good College and Pro Career.
