During our glory years Canes were the dominant college team at NFL drafts. We set a record for the most players chosen during the first round. We set a record for the most consecutive years having at least one Cane chosen in the first round. Unfortunately for several years we rarely have a Cane chosen in the first round. For several years most of the Canes chosen in draft have been in the later rounds. Some made an impact in the league but many did not last long in nfl. Until we are able to consistently have Canes chosen in the first round and many Canes chosen during all the rounds, we will never attain the domination we all want. Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma and others have replaced us as the dominant teams with consistent years of placing their players in the NFL. Hopefully things will change.

Wow. Have you paid attention to the players who have been drafted in our down years. More than half have had a good to great career so far.

A little dose of reality may not be a popular topic, but we should be aware what our goals should be so we again can become an elite program.
Thanks for stating the obvious...
We are just now starting to put first rounders back in the draft. Obviously not one this year but should have several next year.

Had 7 drafted in 2015(2 first rounders
Had 2 drafted in 2016(1 first rounder)
Had 9 drafted in 2017( 1 first rounder)
In addition to that we could have 6-8 drafted this year and at least 8-10 next year
