NFL Draft 2017 - Canes Related

AQM should have been 4.7+and 26/27 Bench. Poor combine, probably late round or undrafted. Needs to put in 30 days of brutally hard work and retest for interested teams.

Yup. With his history/production he needed to impress today.

They were talking yesterday from the combine about the white guy from New England who didn't run a good 40 but his shuffle was outstanding and that's why they took him. Joe probably is going to do well there especially now that he has all that bad weight Al put on him!

That was Edelman - sub 4.0 shuttle.

Wow... In his first attempt, Myles Garrett ran the same 40 time as Njoku.

They're about the same size, and Garrett is an OLB who rushed the passer at Texas AM, so I'm not surprised.

I think I saw that Garrett outweighs Njoku by about pounds. The guy who surprised me is the dude from FAU. He was as fast as Garrett. Don't know if he's any good on the field though.

hes a ***n beast on the field. He killed every team fau faced.

AQM just ran a 4.91.

He's stiff. If he can open his hips on this second run he can get in the 4.7s

Was curious to see what kind of shape he would be in. Doesn't look like he's been putting in the work. Appears to still be on the golden diet comprised mostly of ice cream sandwiches

Dude isnt fat at all. He just isnt fast in the 40.

He looks a little out of shape. I guess you forgot what aqm use to look like a few years ago. He's not the fastest guy but he's better than. 4.9 40 and 22 reps at bench. Weak sauce. The guy got lazy while away from football

Is not out of shape at all. Dude has been working out for months. He is just not who you thought he was.

Thought cook would run faster.
I did too. I would like to see his 10 and 20yrd splits though.

Coach Macho, You still don't think Corn runs under a 4.5?....

I may lose that bet huh?
Absolutely. I just keep picturing Corn running down cook and thinking no way he run over a 4.5

Agreed. Corn should run a better time. I predict a 4.45.

Given that Coley ran a 4.45, what do you think Richards runs?

As bad *** as Garrett is, I think Soloman Thomas has about as good of a chance to have big time success in the NFL. Great head on his shoulders and he's a freak in his own right. He looked like The Terminator in high school. TX stays pumping out freak DEs.

So let me get this straight:

Coley has now run a 40 that is gonna make him some money.
Those that dogged Coley are no where to be found at this time.
All of you took up for Coley when he was dogged.

Now no one is disappointed in his play? I think he underachieved at Miami. He was very very solid for us last year. I agree he will be another Golden special. I agree he went out on what seemed to be every play he was involved in!

Why can't it be:

Coley made him some cheese today
Coley seems to be the kind of wr that gets some extra burn in the league
Coley did not live up to his billing at his time in Miami

Nagging injuries, dumb penalties, and Kaaya missing Coley a thousand times are the only negatives I see to his time here.. not his fault the team underachieved in other areas

Yea not his fault b/c it was obviously all Kaaya's judging from some of the ppl on this site.

Kellen Winslow NFL Combine Results

Njoku reminds me a lot of another out of state jumbo WR that converted to TE at the U, Kellen Winslow II. They both came in at 6’4” but Njoku is already 20lbs heavier than Winslow was as a true freshman and both ran in the 4.6-4.7 range out of high school. Winslow ran a 4.62 at the NFL combine and a 4.55 on Pro day, Njoku ran a 4.67 in July. They are both great athletes who played both ways in high school. If Njoku continues to develop physically, I can see him getting to 250-260 range while retaining his speed and athleticism. Here is a side by side comparison of the 2 great athletes.

Yeah Texas football is right on up there after Florida, California, and Georgia football:)

I'm thinking Richards is a sub 4.4 kid all day. He out-runs DB's with ease. Almost looks like he's not even trying.

Richards will probably be in the 4.4 range. Now freshman year Coley is a sub 4.4...
