Really want my Lions to grab in rd 2.
Way too many needs to get a backup TE right now who would be like 6th on the receiving options list.. CB and safety - are such a big need now with Branch and Kerby major injuries, Arnold possible legal trouble and Rakestraw never being healthy, and Amik probably leaving...

Edge remains a need. I think they should probably go OT in 1st if possible. Center at some point too..

This is strong free agency for DBs. We have proven 0 ability to identify a corner in the draft. Laporte is too injury prone to be relied upon and that is the most important position in our offense.

Close but no cigar….

Michael Vick’s 4.33 still stands as the fastest quarterback at the 2001 combine. Only person faster than him was ofc from the U w/ Santana Moss’ 4.31.

Taylen Green runs a 4.36; fastest time in over two decades by a quarterback. Anthony Richardson ran a 4.43. Lamar Jackson didn’t run at the combine, was supposedly clocked at a 4.34 at Louisville

I was wondering if we were going to make a play for him at the end of last season… Damien Martinez’ HS teammate.

Sonny Styles had a great combine...reminds me a bit of Tremaine Edmunds. Good player in the league, but top 10 for Tremaine Edmunds is too rich for my blood in any draft.
It’s pretty insane that coming out of HS he was 210lbs and ran a 4.6… he puts on 34lbs, improves his vert by 12in and drops his 40 to a 4.4.

He’s got the genes though.

Stephen Daley not getting an invite from Indiana is pretty notable as well. Kinda wild to not invite two really good linemen from the champs.

Also...these men pay for the best in class in sports performance @ this stage with what they are paid. Some of these dudes getting incredible coaching in preparation to optimize their athletic performance to these events. Many of these players have had some form of representation...but in today's NFL...you dont need it, but its better if you do, and there are relationships already developed.

Its no shock we are seeing the improvement athletically, overtime, in human beings.
