Everyone should know how it works.

90% of the time, P5 schedules are exactly like this.

1. You play your conference schedule - this can’t be changed.

2. You play one quality P5 OOC...in this case Mich State. When this was scheduled Michigan State was a top 10 team. Sometimes, rarely, you play 2 quality P5 OOC teams, but usually not.

3. You play 2 G5 teams

4. You play one FCS. Wagner was substituted for some last minute cancellation. I forgot who it was. But that was the word. If it wouldn’t have been Wagner it would’ve been somebody like FAMU

There are exceptions, the following year is different. But 90% of the time this is what all P5 teams do.

Really, the only beef here should be Wagner.

They get away with this every season until they get smoked in the playoffs.

You guys say it’s weak yet I could see losses at MSU, and pretty much any team in conference play except FSU. What team in the coastal is a guaranteed win for us exactly? I see about 5 easy games on that schedule max.

That schedule is harder than this years.

UAB and Temple are not chump G5 schools. Comparatively, they are way better than FIU and Central Michigan. Wagner sucks, but that’s about it.

Even though Michigan State is down, that won’t be an easy game on the road. Our conference schedule is harder, too.

UNC and GT will be much improved. UVA and Pitt will always be scrappy. And FSU can’t possibly get any worse. Plus, VT and Wake on the road.

I’m not saying it’s murderer’s row, but it’s harder than this years, even though that’s not saying much.

Assuming Miami gets a favorable bowl matchup, we SHOULD roll into East Lansing on a 9 game win streak and probably ranked in the 18-20 range. Win that one and we get a slate of very winnable home games (time for revenge on GT). It would be a major disappointment if Diaz in year 2 isn't rolling into Charlottesville with the team ranked in the top 10 , especially given the easy schedule.
