Next Year

We easily could have lost the GT (late bobbled catch on 4th down), FSU (worst FSU team in 20 years, needed last second TD), Cuse (Dungy 4 INT's) and UNC (3 int's) games this past year. Could have easily been a .500 team this year. No idea on what to expect next year. LSU, FSU, GT should be good games. All other opponents we should roll, but Richt is going to Richt.

Depends on QB play. I assume Perry will take the job from Rosier and the others. The big question is whether he is the real deal. If he performs as advertised, 11-1 or even 12-0, then loss to Clemson in ACC Championship and a major bowl victory. 12-2 or 13-1.

If Perry isn't the answer, then same outcome as this year. OL must also improve. A top FB leading a talented corps of RBs will help with the run blocking. The OL has been a weak spot for several years. Need more guys like Donaldson.

Also remember, UM played most of the year without the #1 RB. The #1 WR was hobbled most of the year and then out for the final two games. The #1 TE was out for the last couple games. 10-3 with these injuries and a mediocre QB is nothing to be sad about. The incoming class gives the team greater depth to survive injuries. Dallas, Homer, and the two incoming RBs give needed depth (maybe even Burns will play some). Two stud TEs entering. Additional DBs (with a long-shot chance at Patrick Surtain, Jr.). The talent will be there.

Improvement at QB and OL will determine if the teams improves, especially as the post-season approaches.
